On average, participants receive $6,000 in assistance. Families may use ESA programs, 529 accounts, and scholarships to reduce costs. We offer a 10% discount for military, education, and healthcare professionals.

Is my family eligible for Flexible Tuition?

A wide range of families qualify, from those who can afford only minimal tuition to those who can afford almost full tuition. We recognize that every family situation is different and that even a small tuition grant can make a big difference for many families. Sora encourages all families to apply for Flexible Tuition if they need tuition assistance. How is Flexible Tuition granted?

Families apply through Clarity, which evaluates their ability to pay Sora’s tuition based mainly on household income. Additional criteria are used for those who are self-employed or own a business, if a non-working parent whose children are of school age, and for any extenuating circumstances.

How do we apply for Flexible Tuition?

Accepted Answer

The Flexible Tuition application is separate from the admissions application but must be completed simultaneously to receive consideration for a Flexible Tuition grant. The Flexible Tuition application is available to families on the Clarity website.

When will I be notified if we received Flexible Tuition?

Is there a discount for siblings?

Accepted Answer

Sora Schools does not offer multi-child or sibling discounts. However, Sora’s Flexible Tuition Program does take into account the number of children from a family enrolled in tuition-charging schools. We encourage any family with multiple children for whom paying full tuition is challenging to apply for Flexible Tuition.

Will filing for Flexible Tuition diminish the chances of my child being accepted to Sora?

Accepted Answer

No, admission and Flexible Tuition applications are reviewed separately. Filing for Flexible Tuition does not impact acceptance, and all financial information is confidential, seen only by the Flexible Tuition Committee and Business Office.

How does Sora handle Divorced/Separated Parents for Flexible Tuition?

The Flexible Tuition Committee considers the income and assets of both biological parents and any stepparents. Both custodial and non-custodial parents must complete an application. If the non-custodial parent is unavailable, the situation is reviewed case-by-case.
